  • One of the mid-sized Asian banks had a predominant Corporate book and had been trying to do SME business for over seven years. They had changed their operating model twice during this period but had not met any success. We worked with them to create two separate businesses within SME – 1) micro and small business and 2) medium business. The micro and small business was launched with a completely new operating model, new product programs, new credit philosophy and new distribution. This business met all the target numbers within the first year and in the second year itself crossed the profits of the Retail bank, a 12-year old business.
  • One of the largest banking groups in the Middle East wished to create a SME banking proposition that was innovative and ahead of every other player in their market. We designed two products for them- one of them was done the first time ever globally and the other the first time in that market. We also designed their credit and risk policy, organization structure, and operating procedures for the business. The bank went on to receive numerous accolades for their SME banking business.
